Seeing Hardy side by side with Bale without their Batman and Bane attire, you can really see the difference in height and size. Hardy is obviously more built in this role and Bale as expected towers over Hardy. In the film, however, from what we’ve seen so far Nolan has done a great job of eliminating the height discrepancy. While Bane isn’t a giant compared to Batman like he is in the comics, he is definitely an imposing figure both physically and mentally. Nolan has done an excellent job of utilizing Hardy’s strengths to his advantage and through careful camera work he has eliminated any criticism of height and size with Hardy.
